Millions Will Receive This Notice – Use Our Lifelock Promo Code

What better time to be online shopping for the right Lifelock promo code? Millions will have to be notified of the potential of exposure of their computer/personal information to an unauthorized party.  One of our data breach sources and the New Hampshire Department of Justice have reported that back on December 2, some online bill payment websites operated by CheckFree were redirected to a website based in the Ukraine which possibly installed malicious software on computers to receive users’ information. At the time of this writing, it is not verified that unauthorized activity has resulted from this incident, however, this is a warning to computer users who have Windows based operating systems and used an online bill paying service during that time frame.

It is now being reported that 160,000 people are estimated to have been exposed, however, this malicious software could have downloaded itself to millions of computers. The software collects usernames and passwords and transmits it to the unidentified Ukranian website.

Thos potentially affected will receive notification from the company, as well as a McAfee software solution to help detect and remove the various. Two years of credit monitoring service will also be offered. It might not seem important now, however, there is a certain fear that comes over a person once they receive that letter in the mail that they are now one of the millions affected.

The following institutions have been notified of this breach: the FBI; the three major consumer reporting agencies, principal federal financial institution regulators, Federal Trade Commission, SEC (Securities & Exchange Commission) and Commodities Futures Trading Commission.

Again, this is said to be directed to those using a computer with Window’s based operating systems as they are potentially affected.
