Why use LifeLock? Are you concerned that you might become a victim of identity theft? Have you already placed fraud alerts on your credit? Most of us haven’t and signing up for LifeLock is a way to have alerts placed and then renewed regularly. You can do this yourself, but LifeLock is available to you so that they can do the work for you. It’s a very low fee to pay to help protect your credit.
In addition to doing that, LifeLock offers many other services that prove them to be one of the leaders in helping to protect members from becoming victims of identity theft. WalletLock is included in the membership and is for those who need help replacing documents that were in a lost or stolen wallet. eRecon and TrueAddress are among their newest services and are in place to help keep your personal information, well, personal!
Do you really have to worry about your identity being stolen or is it just a lot of hype on the internet? Our research has shown that data breaches are reported on a regular basis. This is when the database of a company, school or other organization has their data either stolen or accessed by a computer hacker. The hackers are able to view personal information for thousands, even millions, depending on where they were able to hack into. Your social security or credit card number could be one of the pieces of information that they steal, along with your name and address. After that, it’s easy for them to open new credit or set up a fake account and do a lot of financial damage. This can happen even without LifeLock, however, this service makes it less likely of happening because of their goal to assist in stopping identity theft.

I use Lifelock and I love it. Even though I can do what Lifelock does by myself, it’s almost impossible to remember to update the fraud alerts every 90 days. Identity theft is only going to get worse. It’s only $9/month, so I don’t even know it’s coming out of my bank account. I wonder if they’ve ever had to make good on their $1 million guarantee?

You don’t have to get an identity theft service, you can just do this yourself.
