LifeLock Featured on NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice”

Did you see last night’s episode of “Celebrity Apprentice”? It was an interesting show on two groups of celebrities who had to team together to create the best retailing package for LifeLock identity theft protection service. The teams were divided as follows:

Team “Athena”: Brian McKnight: Project Manager
Melissa Rivers
Jesse James
Brande Roderick
Annie Duke

Team “Kotu”: Natalie Gulbis: Project Manager
Clint Black
Joan Rivers
Herschel Walker

The teams were required to work together to come up with this package and after meeting LifeLock CEO, Todd Davis, and learning more about the service, they immediately went to the drawing board to come up with ideas for design and presentation. Both teams worked hard on their assignment and it came down to the wire for them both, but especially team Athena.

Both teams faced challenges in that team Athena had one man who took terribly ill (Jesse James) and a “laid back” project manager who was not the take charge type and admitted so to Donald Trump in the end.  Due to lack of motivation to finish this task, Brian McKnight was fired.

Team Kotu didn’t have as many challenges as team Athena, however they did have a very tense ending when they created a graphic piece for their display that was not large enough to fit the display they had built. In the final minutes of their challenge, they were able to pick up a last minute graphic that fit the display perfectly and gave them the confidence needed to give a fine presentation. Each team member introduced themselves by saying: “I am Joan Rivers” until the real Joan Rivers came out and introduced herself.

In the end, team Kotu won for their creative use of celebrity in their ad and originality while team Athena basically created a variation of the existing LifeLock campaign.

They seemed to have trouble putting it together but I think both displays turned out nice.

I wonder how it would have turned out if Rodman was still there!

That was a good episode. Jesse was sick the whole time and worked on it anyway.
