The US Department of Justice in Boston has charged three persons for credit card fraud that involved 12 retail establishments. Forever 21 is one of those affected and contacted to alert customers. Over 98,000 customers were found to be part of the data affected. This includes the data of those who used credit and debit cards during this time. The numbers were exposed but not customer names and addresses. Due to the length of time involved, it is being reported that more than half of the cards uses are either no longer active or have expired.

Customers who have been affected could receive a letter from the institution who issued their card, which will be mailed to the address on the account. Credit bureaus have also been contacted and advised of the incident.

Those affected can go to the stores website www.forever21.com and view the important notice at the bottom for details. Instructions are provided for taking measures to protect against identity theft.

Our website is offering Lifelock identity theft protection at a discount for these customers. Use code Defense to get a discount on Lifelock services.
