The more stories in the news about identity theft, the more we need to look into some types of identity theft protection. Yes, we have emphasized the point that there are several things you can do yourself, but why not secure a good company to provide you with this type of protection? So many services out there report why you should choose them, however, it is best to go with one that is:

1) well known;
2) has a huge membership;

This is where LifeLock comes in. Many have heard of LifeLock in the news, on the radio, seen the commercials or have seen an internet advertisement.  LifeLock is not only well known through their commercials, but also because of their partnership with other well known companies like: TransUnion; AAA; Melaleuca and many, many others.

How can Lifelock protect me? They offer several valuable services to protect you from identity theft, some of which are new services that were added at no additional cost to their members. WalletLock replaces important lost documents from a lost or stolen wallet, eRecon and TrueAddress are other services provided to protect your information from being sold or traded on the internet and to notify you of any requests for changes to your address.

    I’m glad that id theft protection is available for children. Most parents don’t think to check their child’s credit report for suspicious activity. I know I don’t want my children to have this problem later in life.

    I have seen a lot on the internet about identities being stolen. Protect yourself, whether you use lifelock or not. It is very important to look at your credit report at least once a year.

    I have seen online that Barack Obama had problems with identity theft. I don’t know if that’s true, but wouldn’t it be dumb to say that your name is Barack Obama on your credit card application?

    There are a lot of news stories that address these services too. They don’t all advocate buying it, but they aren’t saying not to get it either. It’s your call.
