Also, be careful if you receive information related to giveaways or sweepstakes. These could be scams set up to get you to release your personal information. Be sure that you are familiar with any company that offers any of these type of promotions to you.

Any company, website or store that asks for too much personal information can be challenged on WHY they need that information before asking for it. A lot of times, they don’t need that information, they just save it in their computer. That is why hackers have access to so much and do so much damage. They can use a number other than your social security number, to identity you. Don’t be afraid to talk to them about it.
